ExciteBots: Trick Racing / Retirement
« on: December 01, 2013, 11:10:55 PM »
It's been pretty obvious I haven't been around for a while for reasons such as life is just too busy, priorities, and a lack of interest for the game. I check in every once in a while as a guest, but I often go a while without thinking about Excitebots, so I decided to go ahead and make it official.

I don't have a whole lot to say really, but thanks to everyone in the community for all the great times, races, and late night chats! I had a good three or four year run with the game and everyone who played I played with, but like they say, all good things must come to an end. I won't be able to forget all the friends I've made, and even if it seems like I didn't like you, (you know who you are  ;) ) I do, and I wish you all the best!

I guess goodbyes aren't really my strong suit, so sorry if this seems a little brief and sudden. I may check in every once in a while to say hi but I think my racing days are done. Baseball is going to be consuming a lot of my time and maybe it will pay off some day and I'll be playing on TV against theJude's Twins.  ;)

So with that, thank you all for the everything and for the experience, it truly did make an impact on my life in many ways and I can proudly say I'm a better person for it. I guess a game can really be more than a game. Spin on

ExciteBots: Trick Racing / Would you
« on: February 09, 2013, 06:00:42 PM »
There has been a ton of name changing over the years and I think people like to try something new every once in a while, so if you could change your name without worrying about people still referring to you as your first pick, what would you change it to?

ExciteBots: Trick Racing / Now or Never
« on: December 18, 2012, 10:36:39 PM »
I was thinking about the Wii U for a while today after my little brother brought it up in a conversation about Christmas. I know this topic comes up all the time, and I know there are quite a few people who have given up on the idea, but I thought that maybe, just maybe we have a shot of another Excite game. I say Now or Never because we the only fan base for this game and none of us know how much time we have left online especially when considering the new console. So I have proposed to make our final "plans" for a new Excite game.

I want to know what all you guys want to see in a new game. I plan on creating a master list and spamming Monster Games and Nintendo with e-mails until I get a response. Ideas can range from new bots, colors, and tracks to functionality, controls, and graphics.

Just leave a post, even if unfaithful, of your ideas.

Videos / Broken Replay ???
« on: December 09, 2012, 07:40:25 PM »
So I was trying to make some videos for Platinum Canada and Platinum Guatemala and I was able to base a 653(PCan) and 677(PGuat). The only problem is when I went to record the replay. The replay was my bot racing, but not doing what I was doing. It was crashing and driving around like it had a mind of its own.

This means one of two things. One being that the replay is just messed up, or the other is that my score is just so dang high that it can't possibly be re-created by the replay.

Or maybe it is a sign to not show the videos.  ::)

General Discussion / Cloud Atlas
« on: October 28, 2012, 12:47:17 AM »
So I know that this is a game website and that this is a little off of what we usually talk about around here but I have to give props to this movie. (and let's face it, this place needs some pizzaz)  :P ::)

Last week sometime I saw the Cloud Atlas trailer and thought, "I want to see this movie." Well the trailer doesn't even scratch the surface on just how amazing this movie was. And I don't want to bore everybody with specifics and I don't want to ruin the movie for everybody, which I guess is impossible because you wouldn't understand anything unless you have seen the movie, but I do want to encourage anybody who doesn't see movies much, is "iffy" on seeing it, or anybody who wants to challenge their intellect.

I will say this though. Background knowledge is not required, but will help you see and understand the message in the movie. I suggest getting familiar with Hinduism before seeing the movie.

Some side notes and tips:

-Follow every story carefully.
-Pay attention to the birthmark.
-Most people won't understand the movie at all. (sadly, especially people my age)
-If you had a hard time with Inception, this movie is not for you.

At the end I was ready to give a standing ovation, which is something I never do, and I started clapping and not a person in the theater joined me. It was quiet and everybody just got up and walked away. I would like to say they were speechless about the epicness that they just witnessed, but judging by the reactions during the movie and after, I have to say they didn't understand it. My friend and I were the only teenagers in the theater, and everybody else were adults. (that makes me sad to know they couldn't keep up, but then again, I don't hangout with your typical dumb teenager) You could compare this to crossing the Niagara on an oil-slicked tightrope, on a unicycle, blindfolded, with hands tied behind your back, while being shot at, with the world watching and throwing rocks at you.

That being said, I recommend this movie.  8)

What Ticked Me Off Today / What is there to say?
« on: September 05, 2012, 12:02:12 AM »
So I had a pretty easy day today and after school I went to hangout with some friends. As I was riding my bike back I came across a parked car in the road, and a girl got out with what sounded like a skateboard. What? What do you mean "sounded like"? That is exactly what I mean, because this girl throws it over a fence on to the sidewalk about 12 feet down. Then I hear her friend in the car yelling hurry up Kayla. Turns out I know this girl. I know her from school. What came next is was set me off Keep in mind that I'm not a loser, or socially awkward. I'm also not the most popular kid at school because that would require me to drink, smoke, have sex, vandalize, and a number of other things I consider to be bad for somebody my age. I am that kid that could fit into every group if I wanted to because I'm not a jerk to people and I have a wide range of friends. So this girl throws some poor kid's skate board over this fence and then beelines for the car and then stops. I'm riding a bike and she stops right in front of me going at a decent speed. Thank God instincts told me to hit the brakes, because if i had the time to think about what was happening then I probably would have ran her butt over. We will get to that in a second. So after she runs into my direct line of riding, she recognized me and said, "eww... you." (For those of you who know me well enough, you know that I don't cuss or use any sort of profanity) But I was this close to cursing her out and banging up their BMW.

Is it not enough that I have to deal with people like this at school? Now I have to deal with them on a bike ride home. The kicker is what they did next, because I guarantee you they would have had a bad time if they made this move. They started to follow me to my house! I turned into my street and I saw them making the decision to either come into my street or keep moving. Luckily for them they pulled a u turn.

If it isn't enough that I had to deal with people like that, I come home to find out that my brother was hurt in football practice today because of a cheap shop from another player. He had a scrimmage tonight and, long story short, he was hit from behind on a play that was not even close to where he was. My dad ran out onto the field to see if he was okay as the coaches stood there trying to defend themselves as my dad got onto them for not paying attention and letting some punk kid do that. To make matters worse, the assistant coach for the opposing team is the head coach for my youngest brother's team, so he knew who my dad was. As he played dumb as to what happened, my brother got up and got set for the next play. if that were me, i would have gone out of my way to smash the kid in the mouth on the next play, but my brother isn't wired like that. Needless to say, I will be attending my brothers' games and scrimmages from now on to make sure this crap doesn't happen anymore.

I don't really rant about something like this, but this stuff got to me. For me, there is no, "life is life," or "just deal with it." (I can't tell you how much that one ticks me off) I have dealt with punk popular kids that will get no where in life, and douche bag coaches who don't care if there are cheap blows, but I have had enough. I don't have to deal with this kind of stuff. But as of now, i don't know what to do about it besides just deal with it. I guess in a way it pays off in the long run because people get what they have coming.

P.S.- The only solution I do have is to take all the warning signs and stickers off of everything and let the problem sort itself out.

Besides that, what is there to say?

In Search of Humor / Don't Shave That Hair!
« on: August 18, 2012, 02:46:08 AM »
       This is NOT my story!

I have recently made a mistake in my life, and I offer my story to you, that you may learn from my error. It all started, as many things do, with me having trouble crapping.

No, I was not constipated; this was not a regularity problem but a matter of technique. It seems my butt-hair had grown to such a length that tiny grogans were constantly getting tied up in the matted jungle between my buttcheeks. It led to much frustration, with me KNOWING that I still had something to drop, but unable to shake the tenacious turd loose from its butthair dwelling. Eventually I would have to do two things: either reach down with some paper and try to pinch off the lingering loaf (which required careful precision to avoid smearing the creature all over my rear, especially since I had no way of seeing what I was doing) or just go for broke, start wiping, and hope that I could remove all the leftover fecal matter before the toilet paper reached its Can't-Be-Flushed threshold.

I was contemplating this problem, when I had what seemed at the time to be a bright idea. "Hey! This is my butt and my butt-hair, right? So why don't I just eliminate all the hair, and then my grogans will flow out like beer from a keg!" I said to myself. It is a statement that will go down in history with a lot of other regretted statements. "How many Indians could there be?" said by General Custer. "Looks like a good day for a drive!" by JFK. "There! America On-Line now has complete Usenet access!" by some idiot system tech. Such was my anal shaving idea.

I performed the operation that night, with a cheap disposable razor and a towel to sit on. Starting from the bottom, and shaving from the crack to the cheeks, I began the arduous process of ridding my butt of hair. Occassionally, I would have to clean the razor of accumulated hair and miscellaneous slime, which I did by wiping it on the towel. Slowly, my twin mounds and the between-ravine began to resemble the hairless cheeks of a newborn baby. Finally, I wiped the razor one last time, and surveyed my work. The towel was covered with a pile of hair. My butt was smooth as ivory. I smiled, satisfied, thinking my troubles were over.

Little did I know.

I now have a great respect for anal-hair. Like everything in this world God created, it has its mighty purpose in existence. It was only after I had removed it that I started to learn how much I had been taking it for granted. For one, it provides friction. I learned this the next day, when I walked out into the sun heading for class. After climbing two flights of stairs and starting to sweat, I started to notice something unpleasant. The sweat was accumulating in my crack, and was causing the unpleasant sensation of my two buttcheaks sliding past each other with every step. I thought about going to the bathroom and wiping it off, but had to get to class. Eventually, I thought, it would dry.

Unfortunately, it did dry, but only after mingling with the microscopic poo- molecules lingering around my brown starfish. When I stood up after class, my cheeks were stuck together with a slimy sticky crap/sweat combination. As I made my way back to my dorm, it started to itch. Man, did it itch! Felt like a swarm of ants was making its way up and down my crack. Fighting to keep from jamming my hand down there and scratching away, I rushed back to the dorm.

Unfortunately again, this exertion caused me to sweat, and when I finally reached my room, my cheeks were sliding back and forth against each other like a pair of horny cane-toads. I quickly dropped my pants, and attempted to dry my butt off by sticking it in front of a fan and spreading my cheeks. As I pulled the two mounds of flesh apart, a horrible stench burst free and filled the room. Every dog within a 4 block radius started to howl. I had it worst of all, as the ripe aroma of festering crap/sweat went into the fan and blew back into my face. I fought to keep from heaving. And as I sat there, fighting vomit, my butt cheeks spread and dripping, with the concentrated aroma of my body odor mixed with the tangy smell of my own crap blowing right into my face, I had only one thought: "It will be like this until the hair grows back. Weeks."

Later on, trying to deal as best I could, wiping my butt at every opportunity, I discovered another wonderful use for butt-hair - ventilation. I attempted to launch a fart, only to have it get stuck between my buttcheeks. Apparently, with no hair, the two pink twins can get vacuum sealed together, and the result was a frustrating fart that slid up and down between my cheeks like a lost gerbil.

As if that wasn't enough, I am now enduring further torture. As anyone who has ever shaved anything knows, when hair is first growing in, it comes in as stubble. Imagine your butt having the texture of a brillo pad. Well, that is what I am dealing with now. It is a hellish torture, and there are many times when I just look out the window and contemplate why I shouldn't just jump out and get it all over with in one fleshy splat, rather than endure this constant agony.

ExciteBots: Trick Racing / Something to Think About
« on: March 22, 2012, 07:53:18 PM »
As most of you know, Big Air posted the Super Excite Offline time records. I decided to give it a try and see if I could set some new records. Upon doing this I learned some new(at least to me), interesting things in regards to the bots and there stats. Here is what I learned.

1: The fastest bots on a straight away are the Mantis,Crab,& Spider.
2: The size or wheel placement of a bot may have a role in the speed at which the bot accelerates.
Example: I paired up the Bat with the Spider.
Bat Stats:Weight Class: Light Grip: High Turbo Length: 4/5 Turbo Power: 4.5/5
Spider Stats:Weight Class: Medium Grip: High Turbo Length: 3/5 Turbo Power: 4.5/5
In a straight line race between the two bots, the Bat has the stats to win. But when I raced them, the Bat was literally left in the dust. (Think about that)

3: The Roach is no where near as fast as the spider, but the stats show the Roach as the faster bot, the same situation as the Bat.
4: The Spider is in fact the fastest accelerator in the game followed by the Mantis then Crab.

You may be wondering why the Scorpion isn't in there. It isn't in there not because it isn't fast, it is, it even tailed right at the lower half of the Spider. But because the turbo length only allowed to compete with the Spider for about half of the Spider's entire boost. So I left it out.

I raced every bot against the Spider, and not a single one could match it. I looked up all of the stats of the bots and I'm still comparing, racing, re-racing, re-comparing, and all that stuff, but I'm confused on why the three fastest, for right now, straight away bots are so different. I'm wondering why their stats don't show them as being strong bots, but why their performances do. They have few things in common. The Mantis and Spider have very similar boosts, and the Mantis and Crab are heavy. The Spider, Crab, and Mantis all have high grip, but nothing else. I wondered if the grip played a role, but the Bat and Hummingbird and Lizard have high grip, and the all got destroyed. :o

So what do you guys think? 8)

ExciteBots: Trick Racing / Excitebot Taking the Next Step
« on: August 30, 2011, 09:38:46 PM »

I also posted this in the Shoutbox, so this is for those who did not see it.

Excitebots: Trick Racing is moving to Japan exclusively through Club Nintendo. That Toadster troll that bothered us along time ago also posted this.

I don't really know what to think. Should I be scared that they will take the game and completely dominate, or should I be welcoming to the new competition that will take over the game. And I know that this is only through Club Nintendo, but there will still be large amounts of people playing soon. I kinda didn't want Ebots to go global because what becomes of us? Our rankings and scores will be worthless because of new competitors. I want TopStar to always be number one, and I like how we are the leaders of the game. I don't really want to be beaten by Japanese players. We all know how some of them are very dedicated to games, and what will they do to this game. Will they bring new life to the game? No one will even know about Top's achievements unless they find out through us.

That is a bit of an over reaction, but I want to know what you guys think.

General Discussion / Happy Birthday to ME!!
« on: August 29, 2011, 06:03:12 PM »
Well, today I turned 15 which is a little surprising to me. (I honestly had no idea I would get to this age, if you know what I mean. :P) So this is the beginning of basically the rest of my adult life. :D I'm in my freshman year of High school and I'm getting into baseball and academics(Pre AP stuff) more and more so my schedule will be pretty full. I'm also getting an Xbox so that I can play games with my friends. Don't worry about me playing less on Excitebots, because I will probably be playing that more than any other game.  I have around 650hours on Ebots, and I don't really want to play that much on any other game.

That was alot of random things, but in short, no matter that I'm getting older, I will keep playing Excitebots for a long time. After all, you guys are old and I have to stay around and keep you guys in line.  :P ;D :-*

General Discussion / Top Has some explaining to do!

This is a comment that TopStar posted on Thunder's GameSpot account.

Hey Jmv Rce!

It appears that over the period you forgot the communication for poker:

Red Lobster- NO POKER
Green Lobster - POKER RACE NOW

When you started flashing the green roach I assumed you wanted to play poker. Unfortunately you didn't come in and I was left stranded. Well hope to race with you soon (maybe still today.) Congrats on 1,000 excite wins too. Go ahead and throw your name into the achievements thread."

Notice the date. TopStar, I thought you got rid of the game. What in the world is going on? You were either using a profile that Thunder could recognise you by, or you were using a lay low profile and thought Thunder figured you out and was flashing the green roach to play poker. Either way isn't the issue. You got some splaining to do young man! >:( >:(

Minecraft. You choose. :P

Community Events / Turtle Races
« on: July 02, 2011, 05:23:40 PM »
So I was thinking that we could have a B-Liner Bowl using only turtles, hence turtle races. I dont have a set date yet, but i was thinking maybe the next week or two. If nobody wants to do a Bliner, then maybe we could do a mini tourney with the turtle. I would like to see who is interested before I make any sign up lists or date possibilities. So what do you guys think?

ExciteBots: Trick Racing / Using What?
« on: June 20, 2011, 10:28:37 PM »
I have figured out that the WiiMote with no cover is better for recovering from a crash, and makes me feel faster, so I might change to that. What about you guys? :-*

PlayStation 2 / Anybody?
« on: June 09, 2011, 12:21:04 AM »
I still play occasionally. (Star Wars Battlefront 2) I will probably always have one, just because I have had one for so long, and it really isn't outdated yet.

It will go down as a classic console. 8)and it will Jude. ;)
